Method of Use
Apply to the affected area or acupuncture points chosen for stimulation similar to regular moxibustion. For best results, use in conjunction with a TDP or regular heat lamp, hair-dryer, or some other external heat source. Avoid contact with eyes and genitalia.
Ai Ye (Folium Artemisiae Argyii) is acrid and warm, enters and frees the flow of all the channels and network vessels, scatters cold, eliminates dampness. Chuan Jiao/Hua Jiao (Pericarpium Zanthoxyli) is also acrid and warm. They are powerfully aromatic and penetrating and strongly stops discomfort. Gui Zhi (Cortex Cinnamomi) is acrid and hot, warms the channels and vessels, and stops discomfort. La Jiao (Fructus Piperis Capsici) is acrid and hot and likewise warms the channels and vessels. Bai Jie Zi (Semen Sinapis) is acrid and warm, moves yang and scatters cold. It is a very common ingredient in various medicinal or applied moxibustion formulas. Sheng Jiang (uncooked Rhizoma Zingiberis) is acrid and warm, moves the qi and transforms dampness.
